Meet Kristen Jackson
Kristen Jackson is a graduate of Wake Forest University where she received her degree in Health and Exercise Science. She is a recipient of the Hubert Humphrey Study Abroad Scholarship, a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society, and the Golden Key Honor Society. As a participant in L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Excellence, Application, and Development), she has attended rigorous leadership training workshops.

Kirsten is currently working as part of the development team for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue, WA organizing events and writing grants to raise support for programs serving at-risk youth in the area. She has worked for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut, interned at Dream Day, a nonprofit day camp for children with life-threatening illnesses on Cape Cod, and served as a life guard and swim instructor at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, Connecticut. She has also volunteered for several organizations including Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine and for Habitat for Humanity, the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Children’s Center, all located in North Carolina. She also joined a mission trip to Nunapitchuk, an impoverished fishing village in Alaska.

Kristen enjoys team sports and plays intramural soccer, basketball, and tag football. This past summer, she led her first team of Landmark volunteers at Camp Sunshine in Maine.
