TEAM STORIES

Meet Colby Campbell
Colby graduated from Keene State College with a BA in Vocational Education and recently worked as an educator at Shackleton School, an expedition-based, experiential boarding high school in Ashby, Massachusetts. She currently teaches design and technology education at Burlington High School in Vermont.

For more than twelve years, Colby has worked with young people in numerous capacities—as a day camp counselor, a photography instructor, a swim instructor, and student advisor, and has taught life skills, technology, speech and drama, and applied math. She is a strong supporter of hands-on learning, loves the outdoors, and believes that listening is the single most important attribute a leader can bring to a team situation. A few years ago, Colby started a program called Alternative Spring Break. Working in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity, the program has put 84 students into service in the past four years.

Colby has previously led Landmark teams at Morgan Horse Farm 2004, Disney Wilderness Preserve and Glacier National Park in 2005, Sawtooth in 2006 and Columbia River Gorge in Washington in 2007.
