Meet William Conklin
William is completing his BA in History at UMASS-Amherst. He is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist and landscape laborer with Webster Ingersoll Inc. in Sheffield, MA. He worked with Tree Works, Inc prior to this and assisted with major disaster cleanup after Hurricane Juan. His work experience includes a job as a software and hardware installation technician for Key Control Systems.

For two years, William studied philosophy, the history of technology, and comparative religion at the University of King’s College and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has been twice nominated for the Dawson Essay Prize. A trumpet player, he volunteers to play taps at the annual Ashley Falls, MA Memorial Day Service. He is skilled at tree climbing, rope work and knots, and is literate in both French and Spanish. Will has traveled through 48 states and over two dozen national parks.
