WHERE DO THE VOLUNTEERS STAY?
Traditionally the volunteers have been housed in a variety of locations that include church rooms, school buildings, dormitories, cabins, barns, teepees and tents. Each student should be aware that some housing arrangements will be more rustic than others. Details concerning living accommodations will be sent to each participating student.
WHAT ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR MEALS?
Meal arrangements vary from site to site and in most cases students will have an opportunity to prepare their own meals in kitchens at or near the housing location. Cafeteria food or campfire cooking may also be offered.
MY CHILD IS A VEGETARIAN - WILL THERE BE ENOUGH FOOD FOR HIM/HER?
At the sites where the volunteers do their own cooking, each member has a say in what he/she would like to eat and is encouraged to bring favorite recipes. If the site provides meals, there is usually enough choice to satisfy a vegetarian. Many of our volunteers are vegetarians.
