The center of it all.
Team Leaders play a central role in the Landmark experience. Volunteers serve in teams of up to 13 students under the fulltime leadership and supervision of an adult Landmark Team Leader. The leaders are the connection between the program, the volunteers, and the Landmark office. Besides this substantial organizational and logistical responsibility, there are many other important roles the Team Leaders play:

  • A source of inspiration - Team Leaders are role models, clear and simple. They are all college graduates, many with postgraduate degrees, who are socially conscious, responsible, and dynamic leaders of their communities. These are young people who have made a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. Meet a Team Leader.
  • A source of team building - Team Leaders are responsible for building a group of strangers into a cohesive and supportive team.
  • A source of direction - Team Leaders are responsible for organizing the volunteers in the work environment and helping the team work most effectively as a group.
  • A source of fun - Team Leaders don't just help the group get work done safely; they are a primary source of fun - organizing and attending many after-work activities like swimming, hiking, cookouts, and often instigating many laughs.
Landmark Volunteers is a nonprofit organization providing high school students with community service opportunities at important institutions across America.
