Real fun. Real friends.
Landmark is work. But by coming together as a team, the work - no matter what it is - invariably turns into fun. After work, volunteers take advantage of well-earned recreational activities such as swimming, hiking, tennis, campfires, cookouts and movies, as well as one full day set aside for expeditions. As a Landmark volunteer, you may also be invited to participate in special activities that are unique to your host site. These may include ushering at concerts, attending performances or lectures, and helping with special events and festivals.
In this atmosphere of work and fun, friendships form easily and often run deep. You'll work as a team with up to 12 other high school students from around the country who, like you, are interested in making a real difference in the world. The environment is one of teamwork, a shared sense of purpose, discovery and growth. It's no wonder that friendships develop and remain strong for years.
