  • One-week spring program payment: $750.

The admissions office must receive the following:

    Student Application

    $100 Deposit

$100 deposit due with application
  • $100 of the payment is due with the student's application.
  • As part of the application, the volunteer must list six program preferences. The deposit is non-refundable if the applicant is accepted at one of their first six preferences or at a mutually agreed upon program.
  • For those not placed in one of their six program preferences (and who choose not to accept an alternative assignment) and for those not accepted into the program, deposits will be refunded.
The remaining balance
  • The balance is due by May 1st. Places will not be held unless the balance has been received by May 1st. The longstanding success of Landmark Volunteers lies in our ability to work effectively with our host organizations. We must be able to commit a certain number of volunteers and then plan work, recreational activities, housing, and food around that number.

Switching programs

  • Any request for a program change must be discussed with the Landmark office. You may email admissions@volunteers.com for availability of programs. Please take note that there is a $100.00 fee to switch programs.

Tax-deductible payment for participation
Landmark Volunteers is a tax-exempt organization and contributions to it are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. Volunteer contributions cover only eighty percent of the cost of planning, organizing and presenting these programs. The balance of the cost of the programs is provided through the generosity of former volunteers, foundations and other benefactors. A small amount of scholarship aid is available to those with demonstrated needs.

Landmark Volunteers is a nonprofit organization providing high school students with community service opportunities at important institutions across America.
